The five-member Board of Directors for the Indian Valley Community Services District establishes policies for the operations of the district and shall provide for the implementation of those policies which is the responsibility of the district’s general manager. All members of the board of directors shall exercise their independent judgment on behalf of the interests of the entire district, including the residents, property owners, and the public as a whole in furthering the purposes and intent of this division.

The Directors are elected to a staggered 4-year term system by voters registered in Indian Valley. The officers of a board of directors are a chair and a vice chair. The chair shall preside over meetings of the board of directors and the vice chair shall serve in the chair’s absence or inability to serve.
